One day it's some Busted muppet versus Harry Potter, then Wayne Coyne has a dig at pop puppets, and Pink mickey-takes everyone in a single video blow; now, Mystery Jets have chirped up about their dislike of fellow London indie types Hard-Fi.
"We're the anti-Hard-Fi, basically," said Jets singer Blaine Harrison, quoted on Gigwise. Referring to Hard-Fi front man Richard Archer, he continued: "Watching the way he performs, he makes me feel uncomfortable and it makes me think, 'Right, so that's what a man is? That's what a man should be like?'... The way he's leaning into girls' faces shouting 'awwight poppet!' I don't wanna go there... they come from about a mile down the road from us and their fans are probably harder than our fans, but I don't care."
Bandmate Will added: "He actually sings about things that Arctic Monkeys do but they do it in a way that's very meaningful, whereas Hard-Fi do it in a way that's really bland."

the man has a point tho, hard-fi somehow manage to be the most awful band that i have heard for years. Bland, boring, uninspiring etc etc it'd be good if they just went away
I by no means hate Hard-Fi
And think Tied Up Too Tight is fantastic pop music.
But they're lyrics are a tiny bit obvious.
"Hmm, we've got a song about people who've got dayjobs they don't like and so they live for the weekends. Any ideas what we should call it?"
"How about 'Living for the Weekend'"?
And so forth.
I'm still
too confused about the emergence of so many bands from this area to comprehend them having tiffs with each other.
Hard Fi are bloody awful though...

Are you implying that as they're not known by as many people as Hard-fi, that makes them less good Or less credible? Just to clear up any loose ends hard-fi are awful, bland and utterly uninventive. Mystery jets are ten times the band hard-fi are, even if they've sold a tenth of the amount of records.
