I'm glad Cat Power has cancelled her show. So now I can see the Wrens who are playing London the same night. Thanks to Oceanstorm for turning me on to these guys. The Wrens at the Barfly were one of the best gigs I have ever seen. Some of my friends were going to Cat Power who I like, so her show's not happening we're all hitting The Wrens.
Anyone else going to ULU on the 4th? Be nice to meet for drink before. I'm new to the band so it'd be great to meet some other fans

I am not sure if I can go on the 4th yet but if there is half a chance, I'll be there. They were ace at the Borderline and even better at Barfly. I love them and The Meadowlands is a magnificent album. Despite being at ULU I fully expect it to be one of the gigs of the year.

Yes. I saw the culture piece which really summed it up the writer said they were "like a volcano". I agree and I fully expect ULU to be gig of the year. I'm up for meeting render for a drink before the show.
