Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Radiohead
Guns N Roses (it seems to actually be happening)
Morrissey
Muse
Keane(blunts)
The Futureheads
The Stills
Patrick Wolf (maybe)

Seems to be more exciting than the crop of new bands arising this year...

.

The Mars Volta (Hopefully)

Hell Is For Heroes
Hundred Reasons
yourcodenameis:milo
Biffy Clyro

oh and

80s Matchbox

Oh and

you like your emo don't you...

I wouldn't kill an emo

because I am nice. But I don't really like the music sorry :)

To call HIFH...

and Hundred Reasons Emo...

Is stupid and plain ignorant.

no it isnt

How is it ignorant?

They sound closer to original 'emo' bands like jawbreaker and quicksand than Fallout Boy (who are apparently 'emo', but aren't) ever will.

I cant see how...

they are emo. Especially the newer stuff, Kamichi and Models For The Programme, not at all!

Sorry, I was referring to Hundred Reasons

who are most definately lying directly in the hot embers of old emo

I suppose...

even if it sounds a bit "emo-ey" can still be good! Like...Circa Survive

Mudhoney

Comets on Fire
Liars'
Quasi
SHAT

these are ones im aware of.

Brand New
Built To Spill
Calexico
Taking Back Sunday
Sonic Youth
Wilco (apparently)
Modest Mouse (probably)

Definitely:

Glassjaw
At The Drive in
Million Dead
Refused

jolley, you are SPOT ON

with your music taste, man.

*Raises the thumbs up*

Why..

thankyou!

I'm looking forward to...

Patrick WOlf is a definite - The Magic Position, being recorded in Vienna and due for release in May (I think)

Also...

Long Blondes
Delays
Thea Gilmore

I'm quite looking forward to Keane's new one, as well. As long as it is a progression from Hopes and Fears and not more of the same.

The Delays new album is utter toss

And the long blondes album is going to be shite. I've not heard a consistent set of tracks by them ever.

Pissed on my bonfire

I love all the Long BLondes tracks I've heard and I heard a few of the new Delays songs at a gig early last year (and liked them). I want to be optimistic!

The long blondes lack any sort of charisma

And about 20% of their songs are GOOD... the rest as shallow as fuck.

And yeah, the delays album is such a dissapointment for me... I really loved some of seaside glamour (and the dvd with it is amazing), and have tickets for 8th March, but hearing their new album is actually making me think about selling the tickets.

And there's a new British Sea Power album due I think

Hopefully it's better than Open Season :-)

you've all forgotten

The Shins
Pretty Girls Make Graves
Sparklehorse
Komakino

where will it end??

Yes

The Shins I can't wait for, but I didn't know a new BSP album was on the way??

the new Shins

album is gonna be terrible. I can tell. Chutes to Narrow was the trasition period between good and shit.

and

Stereolab
The Flaming Lips

im not sure but TV on the Radio?

.

cult of luna
neurosis
converge
isis
the locust (hopefully)
eits (hopefully)
Bossk (hopefully)
these arms are snakes (hopefully)

New Muse album

I've heard bootlegs of four of the new songs and they sound like this album is going to be Muse's OK Computer. The song DES gets a special mention just because of that fat riff at the start.

NEW RHODES

fucking

finally.

new rhodes...yes!

well an album from New Rhodes is what ive been waiting for... it will be awesome.. they're so good...

cant wait for the new Radio Dept. and Final Fantasy too

Ahh i cant wait

Where did you hear these bootlegs?

Just heard on 6music news...

that Slash rates the new Gun N' Roses album! I'm not a fan, but that must be the most anticpated album of 2006?

Also

The Young Knives
Jamie T
Jarvis Cocker
Jurassic 5 (hopefully)
The Radio Dept (pleeeeeeeease)
Cody Chesnutt (I may soil myself if he does)
Hot Chip
Brakes (I'm guessing this is very possible)
Smoosh
Be Your Own Pet
Forward Russia

radio dept

album out on april 12th. its called 'pet grief'.

there's a single called 'worst taste in music' coming out on march 15th too.

A new

Electric Soft Parade album is also a possibility.

I might.

We're spending the next three weeks living in the middle of no-where, in the shadow of the beautious didcot power station... yummy.

Hopefully something that resembles an album will emerge from our time away!! :-)

We'll update the website forum with how its all going, feel free to swing by. (Oh, and also, we're starting to book for el summer... any fun little festivals, then give us a call.)

Very exciting... now, i need to go to Tesco to buy the food. Bolognese AGAIN?!

i didnt know Brand New were planning on releasing some new stuff.

They've been recording since mid 2005.

They've been gone too long. Lacey has probs gone nuts again...

Good list of expected CD's on wiki.

The Ataris as well...

yes but they're rubbish

whens the new mars volta due?

i'm having a resurgence of love for frances the mute at the moment.

I like The Ataris...

HIGH FIVE

i like the ataris.

Yeah!

GnR is actually happening.

weird...

It IS

actually weird. It feels like they're a band that should be impossible for them to bring a new album out, like say Nirvana.

True true..

Bands need to learn when to stop. Not that i don't love GnR, but i've got a feeling that a new album will just dump all over everything I like about them..

tsk

you big ataris liking loser

HIGH FIVE

ataris suck the big one

Its sounding like...

there's going to be a Battles album as well, which should be quite ace.
I'm pretty excited about new Mogwai, The Shins and Jamie T. On the other hand, i couldn't be less excited by MOR stuff like Keane.

fuggin

TOOL!

The Flaming Lips

album is very curates egg-y. Some good tracks (many of which sound like the Super Furries)and a lot of filler. There's probably a good EP in there.

yay Tool!

and Isis
Mastodon
Strapping Young Lad
Cult of Luna
Kayo Dot (I think)

wasn't a

Frances McKee album announced ?
And i so hope the second Desert Hearts album will be finally released !

probably

the blood brothers

and

the paper chase

still yet to be mentioned

The Broken Family Band - Balls Out on 27th feb
Why is no-one else getting excited about this?

Ray Davies 20th feb
Darren Hayman March 6th
Magoo any ideas when this is out?
TV on the Radio?

I bought

the new Broken Family Band album yesterday.

Should I not have done?

Its very very good.

it's been a few months

that we're waiting for a Magoo album.
It was announced for last autumn...

Broken Family Band

I'm excited about this! Its achingly brilliant of course - enjoy!

Can't wait to pick up...
New Sparks album, Calexico and Pony Collaboration

...

Hope of the States

Broken Family Band have a new album coming?

This is a good news. Although it will need to be better than that one that came out last year that I can't even remember the name of.

Dresden Dolls

Due in April, so said Planet Sound on Channel 4 teletext.

Quite possibly

Carina Round will have an album out this year. This will make me very happy indeed.

Really quite looking forward to hearing more Dirty Pretty Things, I've always liked Carl.

Jurassic 5, yay!

And I heard a new delays tune in the Barfly the other night and it was fucking IMMENSE. Bodes very well for the new album anyway.

Woop. Woop. Woop.

Ooh

forgot 80's Matchbox and Engerica. And Datapanik. Quite intrigued to hear Frank Turner's album, too, which must surely be imminent?

Seafood
The golden virgins
