Although David Gilmour has put the brakes on any Pink Floyd reunion, quashing rumours of an Albert Hall run later in the year, former bandmate Roger Waters has given Floyd fans something to smile about.
Waters - whose last record with Floyd, The Final Cut, was something of a disappointing parting shot - will perform the band's classic Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety at this year's Roskilde Festival (click for a link).
He joins a number of other confirmed artists for the event, now in its 35th year. Those confirmed so far include: Amplifier, Animal Collective, Franz Ferdinand, Disco Ensemble, Tool and Placebo.
Tickets, on sale now, are priced at about £120.

Better than nothing I suppose
but without Gilmour singing and guitarring it won't be as good.
final cut
is underrated.
Woohoo
How good are Pink Floyd. Very
parts
The band is better than the sum of its parts. Just as PF isn't as good without Roger.
Amplifier = ACE!
Pink Floyd = ACE!
Tool = ACE!
Where is the Roskilde festival?
anyone want to buy my unused Earls Court 1994 ticket then?
How much would a 'floyd-head' pay for it?
Thanks to the many mentions on this site about Floyd I've 'dug out' all their good albums both Barrett and post Barrett - Meddle being my fave
denmark

Ohhhh!
Bollocks.
Bollocks?
Not that expensive to get over for it in the grand scheme of things - flight plus train plus ticket costs about as much as a Reading weekend ticket if you hunt around through the low-cost airlines etc.
I'm a jobless student.
I can't afford to buy my Download ticket, never mind a ticket to a festival in another country.
£120!
Bollocks indeed.
hear this
as a five times Roskilde-goer, i proclaim it the best festival ever. 3 quid for a crate of beer! Not good beer, but beer nonetheless.
Pink Floyd...
are overrated. *covers head in anticipation of mass beatings*. Its true though.
