Worsed Gig EVER?

Who can nominate their worsed live experience ever?

Mine was The Healers at Lancaster Sugarhouse in 2000.

It was Johnny Marr's comeback. And they were dreadful. Comeback aborted I think.

They played worse supporting Oasis at Bolton that summer. But Bez's antics later that day brightened all spirits.

Not my worst gig

, but the worst band I have ever seen was Add N To X supporting Supergrass. Dreadful

HIM

I don't need to explain.

you do need to explain

why did you go? :-P

Mars Volta

On the hottest day of summer. It wasn't too dreadful, apart from all the needless wankery, but I must've almost collapsed from dehydration.

Was this

not done already a day or two ago?

Corduroy

reading festival main stage 1995.

some cool cats decide to play acid jazz, the entire audience wander off to the bar.

bland and totally misplaced on the bill

Peer pressure

Sorry, I know its a rubbish excuse...

Ordinary Boys

In Blackpool early last year.

I assumed that any band taking their name from a Morrissey track must at least have one redeeming feature. They didn't.

The sound system was terrible too although I started to think that someone sabotaged it after hearing them soundcheck and was thankful.

Also

libertines, without doherty, at titp 2004...sound was terrible...

it's "worst" not "worsed"

jesus, some people.

Sorry

I got got excited and i was hung over. My booze induced dyslexia gets the better of me sometimes....

.

Razorlight @ Manchester Apollo

Got there at about 8.00. No air con, and sat for about three hours, watching three crap support bands (Yeti, Black Velvets! and someone even worse), surrounded by pompous students chanting 'Joh-nee! Joh-nee!'.

!!

yeti..crap
*gulp*

True,

But they were the best of the three opening bands.

Ditto

except for 'Manchester Apollo' read 'Alexandra Palace'. At least my ticket was free.

the "someone even worse" were the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, who were in fact the only redeeming feature of the whole thing.

We

didn't have the John Spencer Blues Explosion. It was some shitty indie-garage band fronted by a woman, I think.

I'd been told Bloc Party were opening, so my disappointment when the others came on played a large part in the crap night.

blues explosion

do rule

I was told bloc party were

supporting too. Strange.

I was at that...

same gig, and the arrogant twats that are Razorlight fans began chucking stuff at the Blues Explosion which angered me immensely.
Also the Cockney Slasher from the Mighty Boosh made an appearance, another redeeming feature.

worsed!

that mad me chuckle

"that MAD me chuckle"!!!

that made me chuckle

But it was worsed [sic.]

so I hope you didn't chuckled as muc.

my worsed (sic)

was The Thrills at ULU March 2002 (?) only knew one song, went as a friend had a spare ticket.

I will never get that hour back :(

the

Kooks !
Awful !

what does

(sic) mean? i know i'm a fool...

Dustin's Bar Mitzvah & Les Incompetents

... there are dozens of irredeemably bad bands, but I caught these two together at Cargo last year. I'd rather have caught smallpox.

its latin

for "i know this is a mistake i'm just repeating it cos the other person said it first and i want to draw attention to the fact that the other person made a mistake and is a silly fool HA".

Those Latinos really knew

how to get the most out of a language! :-D

it means...

when you know someone's spelt it wrong and you quote them and you've aknowledged this error. For example therapyrock is a tawt (sic).

LMAO.

OWNED!

I love you Mr 3000

Rachel Stamp

though the Hard-fi / Dead 60s / Ordinary boys triple bill last year came very close

*shudder*

the datsuns :(

probably

Sum 41, utter shite. also, this metal band called Dark Cell i think. they were awful.

Rachel Stamp

are POOP. the gf's mad for it though

Worsed

is one of the worst spelling mistakes i have seen in a while...it makes me laff like ha...

I've apolgised, Jesus

Sorry. Get over yourself. You pompus little man. Many musicians are bad spellers. If you could get your head out of your arse for two minutes, maybe you could feel the emotion of compassion.

Baby

shambles.

The Needles?

The Needles I think they're called?

Supporting Muse in... 2004 maybe?

Fucking atrocious. Seriously. Just abysmal. We met some Maiden fans who helped us heckle though, so it wasn't too bad.

The actual answer is Battle

Yes it is. Thank you for listening.

Has to be....

...Art Brut. Ages ago. They were completely shit. Although it may well be fair to say I just didn't get it.

I get it now, but still think they're shit.

the others

for sure

the others

for sure

Oh yeah...

...I forgot about The Others. They are the most all-round abysmal band of all time.
