i've lived in kennington for about a year, and its quite clearly not exceedingly "nice". its much less "nice" than west hampstead, north london, where i used to live. the elephant and castle is much less "nice" than camden. all perfectly decent places.

truly though, it's underrated. the music scene is sparser, but there are many compensations. cheaper food/drinks/life, lots of green space, the clapham picturehouse and brixton ritzy, greenwich, the 188 bus, the windmill, the tooting primark, the best pizza place in the known world, the whole of bermondsey, and the nice tropical climate.
