TV On The Radio have taken the major-label plunge in the US, signing on the line with the Universal-connected Interscope. They'll remain on 4AD in the UK, for now.
The New Yorkers were previously signed to Touch and Go. Their as-yet-untitled second full-length - copies of which are circulating on the internet, although they're not wholly official - will come out through their new label sometime in the near future; no specific date has been set.
Pitchfork reports that the new material they've heard sounds "to put it mildly, fucking great". We look forward to saying likewise...
ho
are these guys? any good?
i could check them out myself. but spoonfeed me some analysis. go on.
"any good?"
yes, yes and yes again. think noisy blues with splendid vocals and really interesting soundscapes.
soulful bluesy barber-scapes
yeah they're good
didn't like the back end of desperate youth so much tho
they're good
but its an album you'll play non stop for a week and then rarely again... much like many other pitchfork sponsered bands...
Just like....
Arcade Fire?
No
I find them more like a Mars Volta I can tolerate.
they're great! is ULU sold out yet?
