The fourth Nottingham Drowned In Sound night takes place this coming Saturday (March 11th), and we've put together a line-up that really will give you palputations and make your cavities explode. This month we've four of the finest live bands in the country, featuring:
iLiKE TRAiNS (pictured)
"iLiKETRAiNS are strangely Icelandic, peculiarily English and have rather a lot of barmy Aussie Nick Cave in them. So how does one band become so multinational? It's in their sweeping soundscapes, their eccentric fondness for trains (there are projections of locomotives and British Rail Jackets) and lyrics full of murderous intent. Creepy..." (NME)

daveliketrains now has a ridiculous beard. it's massive, like the guy from the twits. i forward the notion that he has grown this in order to steal fans from the magic numbers, forward russia and ZZ top. discuss?
There is always room
for a few more beards in rock :)

You Judas were great. Reminded me of the first few times of seeing Pelican. Meant to get their CD (a bargain at two pints) but forgot to seek it out.
Also dug ILT's BR jackets and trumpet tones.
DIS Nite, cabaret, Nottingham.
Great night at the Cabaret guy's. Some top DJ'ing from Mr.Gourlay, noticed at least one of the great Pidgeon Detectives tracks there.
P.S: Watch out for Polar. Great set!!
Cheers
to everyone who came down and all the bands for putting on a great show!
Roll on April 8th...
Great night
Thanks for putting us on. Had a really good night. Hope to see you all again soon,
Andy, Polar
