DiS is proud to announce another new night in our expanding co-promoted gig and club network, in Sunny Scotland!

We like music, you like music - that much is a true story. What isn't true however is the myth that all good gigs are in London. As if to rub salt into the eyes of Ken Livingstone and bring some delightful smiles to the folks North of the border, DiS is happy to tell you of our new night, givin' it like, well large in Edinburgh. Banter!

We gave our beautiful friends who run the ace I Fly Spitfires night a call and basically said, "Let's do lunch!" After lunch, we decided to team up.

Below is a list of the first three nights, all taking place at the Cabaret Voltaire, Blair St, Edinburgh. It costs a lovely £4 to get in and drinks are a hella-tasty £1.50 for Jack/Vodka & Mixer, or £2 for a can of Jamaica's finest, Red Stripe. Doors are at 8pm, bands finish at 11.30pm and the dancing continues until a liver-sucking 3am.

shame though

that the very crapply titled band are playing

ahh, but mister marwood

you also get the unmistakeable pleasure of hookers green into the bargain.

they're worth two journeys from whatever backwater you're in.

Hooray

I Fly Spitfires = Good
Dis= Good
thus goodness all round!

hmm

june 11th looks like a possible megabus excursion.

i was thinking of something similar

as it's just before my birthday but then my brain clicked into gear and i'm like "oh, EDINBURGH, bad idea". sigh.

Nice one!

Maybe we could do a DiS tour in the not too distant future?

Blood Red Shoes are ace...

so perhaps they could sing happy birthday to me. Although I'm not going to be there...

it's a bit of a sore bum journey.

lots of people coming to edinburgh?

i might have to be a socialite host or something. how scary.

Feckin

Sweet
I live two minutes from cab vol- great venue

ooh

can I come?

YES!

I was getting a bit disheartened by the lack of decent forthcoming cab vol gigs.

get in!

How about

you 'do lunch' in Manchester? London and Edinburgh are a bit far for me.
Oh go on! Theres only so much 42s and 5th Ave a lad can take!

Gah!

I feel bad

cab is fab

We did our warm up for SXSW at the Cab the other night, the first time we've played there and the best venue we've played in for 40 years. Yippeeeeeeeeee!!
