Legendary LA punks RANCID have announced a brief return to the UK this coming September with a string of dates across the country. With the different members' side projects having taken priority over the past year (most notably Vocalist Tim Armstrong's The Transplants and Lars Frederiksen's The Bastards) the band are making somewhat of a comeback and bringing rising hardcore-punksters Stretch Armstrong with them.*

September 13th - Manchester Apollo
September 18th - Brixton Academy
September 25th - Glasgow Barrowlands

All tickets are priced at £12.50 and go on sale this Friday from the following nice people:

In separate news, Lars Frederiksen has also announced the launch of his new clothing label Nihilism, of which selected items are available to buy here.

Rancid Tour Announced!

Brilliant... Most of my favourite bands are getting too expensive for me to go and see now (especially at bloody wembley)... Seeing Rancid at Brixton Academy for £12.50 will be a wonderful bit of nostalgia.

Re: Rancid Tour Announced!

... and rancid I expect it will be.

Re: Rancid Tour Announced!

Brixton is pretty rancid yes, but not as bad as some places. Actually last time I was there I went to a cash machine and for some unknown reason it gave me 250 quid out of my account. So I was walking around Brixton with 250 quid in my pocket, absolutely terrified I was going to get mugged.

Actually that last bit wasn't really relevant was it.

Re: Rancid Tour Announced!

brixton's fine. well the academy mings a bit, but brixton itself is ok if you don't blatantly go and get yrself into trouble.

caledonian rd... peckham... those places are far more rancid.

Re: Rancid Tour Announced!

Indeed... And the scariest thing about Peckham is all the school kids.

Re: Rancid Tour Announced!

excellent. very. have been regretting missing rancid at leeds 2001 since about a week after it.
Didnt realise how expensive ticket ordering is now! So many little extra costs. ticketmaster.co.uk seems to be cheapest, as can get them on collect for manchester. YAY

Re: Rancid Tour Announced!

Best to buy in bulk - cuts down the extra costs a little bit, at least.

It's stupid that the tickets are advertised as £12.50 and you end up paying £15 or so for them.

"bringing rising ska-punksters Stretch Armstrong with them"

I dont know how Stretch Armstrong are in anyway "ska punksters"!!! Oh well they rule anyway, hopefully theyre gonna play some headline dates so I dont have to fork out the over inflated price to see rancid.
