Birmingham-based on-the-up outfit Guillemots have announced a May tour. And a date in June. Yeah.
The why is the band's new single 'We're Here', released on March 27th. It's not so bad, so I'm told by this little bird, right here. What's that? List the dates and get your arse to the pub? But it's only half-past twelve on a Wednesday? The sun's after the yard arm? What does that mean? Ale, you say? Okaaaa...

Guillemots are actually better than finding money down the side of the sofa.

i actually gave a shriek of laughter reading that.
the scala is perfect for them. just perfect.
Am i the only one
who don't get them ?
Never heard them before tonight.
Saw a video for 'We're Here'.
Love.
and mistys are in support...
The Mistys Bis Adventure should be everyones favourite band. And they are opening on this tour - double the fun. Why aren't Mistys massively popular?

I don't know
...it's beyond me cos they're clearly one of the best bands in the country. Damn you DiS for not reviewing their awesome last album!
guillemots
have only released an e.p in the uk 'i saw such things..' which dis reviewed. the mini-album 'from the cliffs' is available on import, but is basically the e.p plus the 'trains to brazil' single.
I've made some negative comments about guillemots
but listening to "we're here" again and again is making me eat my words...as is reading the lyrics of "trains to brazil" which made no sense to me before...all apologies...they aren't unlikely to turn all MOR when they release a full lp tho...
