SixNationState’s Ernie-like optimistic, fidgety jaunt ‘Keep Dancing’ is annoyingly niggly, like the ADD-addled lovechild of The Zutons and The Young Knives. It’ll get into your ears, under your skin and become impossible not to love.

On the flipside, Ox may not feature a huge monobrowed yellow thing, (unless Photoshop has done an amazing job on the press shots), but their sound will be downbeat enough for Bert types from here to Sesame Street. ‘Broken Silver’ doesn’t posses the instant pop thrills of the A-side, but a few plays favourably recalls such sighing types as Tom Mcrae.

A successful mixture then, although no gay rumours persist with these musical bedfellows, unlike a certain pair of bed sharing muppets…
