ooh

how many more times

Please tell me you're

playing along there.

Black Dog

I am

don't worry.

Yep Black Dog

and When The Levee Breaks

all wrong

when the blues harp slowly fades out and the uber-riff to 'bring it on home' crunches in, i lose an emotional limb every time.

OMG!

Read 'Hammer to the Gods', their unauthorised biography- best book I've read all year...

I am a masssssssssssssive Led Zep fan, Colonol...

Kashmir is in my top 5.
Communication Breakdown...
Everything on Led Zep 2 and Houses of the Holy..
I like it all.
D'yer Maker
Hmm...
Thank you.
It's all going down!

Give me a bit of that so called 'cock rock' any time (I disagree with that statement about the angel haired rockstar)

LED ZEP ARE NOT COCK ROCK

They were the ones responsible for the absolute offence, but they weren't cock.

For me, cock is all about the self indulgence, overblown, pompous, drawn out, overstated bollocks like Novermber Rain. It also covers Poison and Bon Jovi.

But NOT Led Zep. NEVER!

Yes

they are not cock rock. I don't know about Poison etc being pompous and self indulgent though. Cock Rock = big, dumb, often rubbish fun.

The best riff is Heartbreaker. Or the Moby Dick one.

Where is Dazed And Confused

on this list? That was the first example of their epicness. And Achilles' Last Stand has some great riffs too.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE

3 notes but fantastic

and the zep were a blues band.

I would consider

them more a rock band with a blues influence

they aren't any kind of band

they're led zeppelin

they can play the blues, rip it up with some rock'n'roll, drift off a folky cloud, then stun the world with a HUGE towering metal riff . . . possibly all in one song, definitely all on one album . . . as far as rock music goes, to steal a line from someone else

they were better at everything than everyone

Cock rock?

self indulgence, overblown, pompous, drawn out, overstated bollocks

If that doesn't sum up Led Zep, I don't know what does....

Hairy?

Good point

I will add that to my ever growing Led Zep Adjective Archive.

GUYS!

I LOVE the Zep!
Let me clarify that point, ok?
If it's cock rock, give it to me in any shape or form (Although as I said, I DISAGREEEEEEEEEEEEE with the statement!)

R.I.P Bonzo.

Definitely

Immigrant song!
I love that song!

Hmmmmmmm

Out On The Tiles
No Quarter
Celebration Day
Good Times Bad Times

The riffs in these songs shit over the rest. Out on the tiles is riff-tastic from start to finish. Just coz they're not as heavy doesn't mean they're not as good. I'm sure these would be some favourites of the Led Zep enthusiast.

No quarter reminds me of a summer when I was 19 and at uni

and there was a massive pot bust in Australia up naaaaaaaaaaaarf (I'm from down saaaaaaaaaaaaaarf) and you couldn't buy pot from anywhere... The theme for that summer was 'NO QUARTER' in between going nuts at dance clubs... The Song was on constant rotation during down times.

I think some people don't really know

what 'riffs' are.

So come then, Master

ho is rfif?

THIS!

DUH DUH DU DU DU DUH DUH! DU DU DU DUH! DU DU DU DUH!

I wish I was Butthead. I miss those guys.

don't worry warn

you'll always be a butthead in my eyes.

Belgian ROFLs

I do like a bit of Zepellin

But I find Robert Plant lets it down for me. Not sure if it's his voice or his melodies, but he bugs me a bit.
