Keplar records is synonymous with cool electronica and the fantastically weird and tasteful sounds of arty-looking people experimenting with all sorts of, erm, stuff. 'Gleichstrom/Wechselstrom' is the sixth Keplar release, and hopefully there will be loads more to come!

Mikrofisch combine the powers of boy/girl singing with synths, Casio, guitars and, hooray, Fruity Loops. The resulting sound is pleasant, frail electronic stuff with a spoonful of twee thrown in for good measure. Think along the lines of plenty of Glockenspiel and minimal guitars. In fact 'Gleichstrom/Wechselstrom' sounds so damn cute it's almost painful.

The icing on the cake are two tasteful covers, namely Morrissey's 'Everyday is like Sunday' and - wait for it - Throw That Beat's 'Little Red Go-Kart'. All done in weird synth style a la Mikrofisch.

In short, everybody with even the slightest conception of good taste should get a copy of this NOW!
