Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

Cherry Red.

That's my favourite. Don't think it's going anymore though, but its 1980s catalogue was the best of its time.

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

Fortuna Pop!, Track & Field, Rocket Girl, Gentle Electric, Che (back in the day), Gold Hole (back in the day) and Wiiija (also back in the day)....

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

Everyone behind Truck Records. A label, a studio, Trailer Park nights, the festival... fabulous people, even if Joe is the doppelganger of a friend of mine in Bristol to a terrifying level.

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

Truck is cool. Shifty Disco used to be good.

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

Superglider, Track and Field, Radiate

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

My favourite independant label is one I doubt any of you spotty students will have heard of - Attica Records, home to many an indie favourite over the years.

and of course, the mighty GRINGO records.

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

I think LEX is the best indie label in the UK right now, in terms of consistancy.

Re: Best Indie Labels in the Uk?

on a dance tip i'd add Tigerbeat6, Irritant and ShitKatapult, if i knew for certain that they were all based in the UK.

oh, and Radiate.
