appear to be a group of bemused men mimicking 80s synth sounds into microphones over the top of a vastly derivative track. I say they look bemused because they really do.
Are we comparing them to Klaxons because they were on the same bill? Because I don't think they are that similar. But obviously Klaxons are better. I shall refrain from brandishing glow sticks in approval about them though. Might don some white gloves though.
Shit Disco were much more a straight up dance-punk band, like The Rapture. Klaxons were a bit less categorisable. Although, I am basing this solely on Shit Disco's performance last week (I've not heard much else of them), which I'm willing to believe was a blip and I'd give them another go.
what is "gud"?
bit boring
like the rapture played faster.
I went to a shit disco once...
...it was rubbish.
I like 'em. The Errors remix of "Disco Blood" is better than the original though.
i like them too.
they're better than the rapture - they have lots of good songs, instead of just one.
house aaaaaaaaaave jealous lovaaaaaaahs
that one?
no the other one.
Oh
that one.
they're really boring live though
they don't have any energy or enthusiasm, which you kind of need for that sort of thing.
I didn't really remember any of their songs either. so yeah...
I kind of want to like them, but they're just really meh.
Klaxons are better.
I like them
I have 2 songs - Disco Blood and I Know Kung Fu, and I reckon theyre quite good.
i've not seen them live so i cant really say
but i would rather listen to them than the rapture.
i think klaxons would be better if they got rid of the singer and his high-pitched scissor sisters voice. bleurgh.
haha
yeah, they only do that on one song though, it is a bit annoying.
still ace though, and they cover 90s dance HITS. Which makes them > shitdisco.
I thought Shit Disco were shit
Klaxons were way better.
i really dislike that gravity's rainbow song
it's kind of like scissor sisters singing shit prince songs.
the others are alright though. plus they have flashy things.
i think shitdisco are ace. maybe you had them on a bad day :(
yeah im not to keen on that song either
the other ones were good though.
and I like that "YER NAME'S NOT DOWN YER NOT COMING IN" song.
and they DO actually bring air horns, and glow sticks.
I like Shit Disco
they're ace-o fun. Better live than recorded in my opinion.
Don't like the Klaxons song I've heard.

Yes, I'm only comparing the two
because they were on the same bill. They aren't similar.
well yeah
but they're both kind of disco-punk bands, and they're both being hyped a fair bit at the moment. I'd say they were pretty comparable anyway.
Shit Disco
have 2 bassists!
Perhaps...
I wonder what glowstick fluid really tastes like...
I don't think they are THAT similar

No, I think you're right
But so is other Tom, with respect to the current state of hype and punk element.
And Shit Disco were exactly the same as when I saw them before. Fairly predictable. Derivative. Silly fixed facial expression.
they do however
throw one hell of a party.
Rubbish
Name.
I haven't heard any tunes, though.
their parties..
were gid, shame the landlord ripped out the staircase and the last EVER one was a couple of weeks ago.
yes good.
