I can't go on, more or less every song on Worlds Apart. It doesn't deserve ANY of the slating it gets, even if it does seem like a self parody in the title track. I think I'll go with Intelligence as my all time fave though. Or Claire De Lune... Boo. I don't know. I love DiS for showing me them though.
its one of those songs which is dead on the line between pummelling and sheer beauty. like oceansize at their best.
i like richter scale madness lots too. and another morning stoner.
mistakes and regrets, it was there that i saw you, a perfect teenhood, source tags and codes, totally natural, prince with a thousand enemies, richter scale madness (kill, kill, kill!), caterwaul, heart in the hand of the matter.
it was well good when i saw them in sheffield. there was a stage invasion and everything, guvnor!
probably. they havent split up of nuffink. picked up a few extra members in fact (or so it seems) (and thats even with the loss of neal. was it neal? i think it was neal.)
Neil Busch was my favourite member (hey, everyone has a favourite beatle, I'm allowed a favourite ...aywkubttod), I was sad when he got kicked out. Mark David Chapman was one of his songs. He can't sing, but that doesn't matter.
Totally Natural
A perfect teenhood
Mistakes and Regrets
Days of being wild
Relative ways
Richter scale madness
Will you smile again for me
thread has made me listen to all four albums plus the ep again in the last day or so.
what an amazing band, can't wait to hear the new stuff in about 3 years time knowing them...
Days of Being Wild is their best song. Monsoon is close though. Neil Busch was the best singer in the band even though he got to sing the least. They were never the same after he left/got kicked out/whatever. Worlds Apart is one of the worst followups to a perfect album ever and is a testament to what coke and ego (namely Conrad Keely's) can do to a great band. On a side note, it seems like whenever a really good band loses their bass player, they lose their edge and start to suck. The current TOD is totally lame live.
too hard,
the whole of Source Tags is perfect.
hmmm
i went through a huge Caterwaul phase, but overal i'll have to go with Another Morning Stoner
Ach, there are so many, but I'm going to go with Blight Takes All.
blight takes all
or another morning stoner
I prefer
Madonna over Source Tags...
that's because IT'S FUCKING WAY BETTER!
Yes.
!

The live version of A Perfect Teenhood is better than the studio one. Anthemic.
true
same goes for richter scale madness, which gets my vote.
except that totally natural is also amarzing. and relative ways and words apart and let it dive and mistakes and regrets and mark david chapman ARGH.
but yeah. i'll go with richter scale madness.
Stop asking impossible to answer questions!
Argh...

yeah
the slating's unjust, i was one to slag it off at first however have grown to like it, it just took time, which I think some people couldn't give.
It's the title track on st&c
Buit also: intelligence, all saints day, another morning stoner, baudelaire, and a perfect teenhood
Source Tags & Codes (the track)
It Was There That I Saw You would be a close second.

Wow.
They're listening to Gang of Four.
havent bought anything since source tags
but:
Mark David Chapman
i'd say
how near how far. or caterwaul. or another morning stoner. argh.
Relative Ways
Easily. Shame Neil ain't in the band anymore...was terribly disappointed they didn't play it live.
Mark David Chapman
is my fave.
Neil Busch was my favourite member (hey, everyone has a favourite beatle, I'm allowed a favourite ...aywkubttod), I was sad when he got kicked out. Mark David Chapman was one of his songs. He can't sing, but that doesn't matter.

It Was There That I Saw You
fucking rules
the first eight songs = ACE
the last four = terrible
agreed
my favourite song by them easily.
Its been mentioned
but A Perfect Teenhood.
It's what they refer to in the industry as a one horse race.
mistakes and regrets
shits on everything they have done since.
Also, my friend worked with them in Starbucks. Theres some trivia for ya.
will you smile again, caterwaul and the rest will follow
means you can't knock worlds apart
Just to confirm then -
A PERFECT TEENHOOD
What use are promises....
Claire de Lunes
Worlds Apart
love it, love it, love it love it love it!

I've not heard World's Apart yet, questioning the existance of this very thread, but I've just bought it off ebay RIGHT NOW.
Also, they're making a new one. Huzzah.
this
thread has made me listen to all four albums plus the ep again in the last day or so.
what an amazing band, can't wait to hear the new stuff in about 3 years time knowing them...

I miss Neil Busch...
