my flatmate said 'i really like snow patrol's first album' talking about the one they released two years ago, despite them having about 54857 previous albums.
few years back when coming on strong came out. but am really looking forward to seeing them later this moth because over and over is a club anthem BLUP BLUP.
new single is laid back but like all the songs on new album ,its catchy.
I saw them at a benefit at the Scala at Kings Cross with Cock Albarn DJ. They made me grin and dance. They stood in a line with their keyboards at the front of the stage, just like Kraftwerk.
they've been around for ages
but then the DFA signed them, so they have EMI money.
they played last years camden crawl
I'm not sure about their new single, its a bit louge-y, but I like them as a whole.
Their second album is out in about a month
so they've not exactly come out of nowhere.
emi eh?
thats why they're vid looks a bit pro
is it directed by neil buccanon?
this is just like when

well, not JUST like... but pretty similar. yeah.
yep
i saw them over 2 years ago and they seemed to be drumming up lots of interest even then but it's only recently that things seem to have kicked off.
yeah
I think it's the combination of EMI-ness and Over and Over being played in just about every indie club ever, for like, EVER.
I found it funny
that NME have them in their new bands section this week. Doo keep up chaps.
i heard of them first
no i did
no me
no me
no me
it doesnt really matter
i saw them

Really?
weird. I have a SxSW CD from last year that has Hot Chip on it from an NME.
It's a good song!
.
they suck
I first heard them when i saw over and over on MTV2
how indie am I!!!
But I love their first album and cant wait for their new album to come out
I remember 'Playboy' and 'Down with Prince' on 120 Minutes...
being played constantly from about 2003.
I personally think they've suddenly become rather wonderful.
I first saw them supporting
athlete (ghey) and thought there were well weird, but not that good.
So... anyone know any other bands like hot chip?
I'm thinking in terms of being witty and relaxing to listen to.
yeah hot chip are
good but in a non-outsanding way.
Looking forward to the album but i really wanna see them live. Missed Luminaire tickets and king's college. they playing any festivals?
Plus
they are from Wandsworth- legends.
Hot Chip are ace
If you are a fan of the newer stuff, but don't own the first album, go download 'You Ride We Ride In My Ride'
The live version of 'Boy From School' is way better than the single version. Somebody posted it up here a while back. PM me if you want it
Can't wait for the new album. Can't fookin wait
I fell in love after
reading this about them:
