Anyway, Ms Ciccione-slash-Mrs Ritchie eventually managed just six songs before leaving the stage. Her security also clashed with festival staff, sparking scenes of tension hardly welcomed at the relatively easy-going rock event, held as always in Indio, California.
Word is that Madonna's epic entourage even included personal spa staff. Like, what?

funny thing is, she didnt really bomb... she just went down ok to an indifferent crowd. shouting stuff like "whats my motherfucking name" doesnt really endear yourself either. i guess she is so used to rapturous applause from crowds that when that didnt appear she stormed off in a huff (and then a helicopter).
oh, and there was no act on the main stage while she was on at the dance tent. contracts eh.

This news item is totally mis representing the truth. The boos occured before she got on stage as she was 20 minutes late and ther were 50000 people packed like sardines in a dance tent with temperatures of 94 degress , but her performance went down a storm and was considered the one of the highlights of the festival. During the show M added an offensive lyric to one of her songs aimed at George Bush and Fox News owned by Rupert Murdoch put out a false news article twisting the truth which DIS seemed to have regurditated even further.
Try googling Madonna if you want a more balanced report on Madonnas performace at Cochaella as opposed to the bull purpoted as "News" on this website

Mediocre at best. Tool was supposedly the highlight. Oh well, 6 outta 7 ain't bad. Course the rumor is there may not be an eighth Coachella. But who knows?

Her performance proved the Nay Sayers wrong, and the dance tent was packed with over 30,000 plus festival goers. The boos were prior to the performance because of the heat and start time delay. 6 songs are not bad to perform and 95% of the reviews are positive. The 5% which are negative, are from Madonna bashers who are upset that she proved all critics wrong once again, and helped made this years festival a sell out success. Not bad for a 47 year old.

I am unsure why anyone would hate on Madonna. She is the best artist of the last century. She is by far the hardest working woman in show business. She always tries harder than anyone to make her fans happy, she has to put up with the media trying to dismiss her, she has to deal with people who are just plain envious of her and say silly stuff to put her down. She does not talk bad about others regardless to what the tabloids want us to think, she gives MILLIONS away each year to help others most of it without press because she really wants to give back. She puts on the best live act of anyone, she makes great records and most of all she does not deserve being trashed there are many other artist who deserve it more than Madonna, ones who lip sing, spend a fortune on only themselves, do drugs, get drunk, screw everything that moves, lie, you get my point, Madonna is an entertainer, an American Icon. She came from nothing and worked like a dog to become a legend. It was all hard work and well earned. I strongly admire her for not just giving up.

I was there and I was dancing!!! Madonna has great taste in producers and thats why her beats are great!!! Erotica if you have ever listened to it was a head of its time with dance music mixed in with eastern sounds and songs the would be considred "neo-soul" now days but she was pumping it out 15 years ago, Bed Time stories, wow , R&B producers making beats with Soul 2 Soul 12 years before that sound was making it on the radio waves...now thats music........thank you very much, but I hear ya!!! Pay respect where its due cause the woman knows her beats, I go to the dance club to dance thats what its about so get over it haters cause music is for dancing sometimes you just got to get free!!!! I have had the great chacne to hang out with one of her first prodcers Jelly Bean of "Holiday" fame and when they where creating all this they where young and so ahead of it in the club scence they where strivng like everyone else and had a purpose, to put out good dance music!!!
