Bizkit Go Limp Over Asia

Disappointing news for any Asian readers: following the US government's warning about a "terror threat" from South East Asia, nu-metal jokers Limp Bizkit have cancelled all of their tour dates in the region, as well as a number of other dates in possible hostile territories on their world tour.

South East Asian authorities claim that such warnings are uncalled for, and that such a high-profile reaction will have a detrimental effect on the region's important tourism industry.

Limp Bizkit's tour promoter, Michael Hosking, made the following statement: "The band wishes to extend their deepest apologies to their fans in South East Asia and promise to return once security for their fans can be assured."

Security to protect fans from what though? The Jemaah Islamiyah militant group, blamed for the Bali bombings, or the band themselves? They do it for the nookie you know...

I'm gong to stickmy neck out here and say that the new limp album isn't as bad as everyone makes out. Sure, there is an overwhelming feeling that Middle-age is taking it's toll on Mr. Durst (what else would possess him to cover The Who?), and they've suffered big-time from the departure of Wes Borland, but at least Durst has noticed that NU-metal/ rap-metal/whatever it's called this week, is dead and Limp have tried to branch out a bit. I really don't like the guy, but i have to admit i enjoyed the album fully (i can only count 2, maybe three poor tracks, but the rest is solid. Maybe a little radio-friendly, but solid nontheless)

no no. dont be an idiot.

I didn't say this was my album of the year (that would be Idiotic), i just said it wasn't as bad as was reported in the music press. Nu-metal is dead- that's without a doubt, and this is a step in the right direction. I guess it's a bit like hearing Slayer doing a pop record. You don't think it'll work unless you listen to it. Maybe it's ace, maybe it sucks, at the end of the day it's opinion.

      Open your mind.

mooseman, people like you need to be arrested. the album is bloody atrocious.

Alright, i can see this is rapidly turning into a bitch-fight, so i'm going to stepout of this before the hand-bags come out. Everyone's opinion is valid. I can see why some of you think it sucks, and yes, you're probably right. I'm just saying people seem to be stigmatising Limp Bizkit because of the fat guy with the baseball cap. If you heard 'Results...' without knowing who they were, it would be very interesting to see if your opinions were different.
And yes i did laugh when Durst got hit in the face on stage the other week. He definitly deserved it.

I think that the Behind Blue Eyes cover was amazing. Give me a break, middle-age. He totally made that song 10 times better than the original. It's like a new song of today. And he sings it so well. He has passion in his voice. It's truly amazingly done. So say whatever you like, I don't care. I haven't even heard the rest of the album so for all I know, it sucks. But that song is so awesome!
