Singers please?

Hi, my band is looking for a singer to complete a (currently) 3 piece rock band. The guitarist and I have been playing together for a couple of years but we recently found a drummer and have begun to jam regularly. We play fairly heavy post-punk, beautiful guitar lines, with disjointed fugazi-esque riffs. Our music tastes pretty much encompass every form of music concievable, from funk to death metal to electronica.

So basically we just want a singer male or female, who has a good, interesting voice, a medium-sized ego and obviously is also a cool person to hang out with. It would be a bonus to have someone who could play a 2nd guitar or maybe keyboards, but by no means a neccessity. We are all 18 and we are pretty open minded about age (we have a guest cello player who is only 15) but somewhere between 16-21 is probably about right unless of course your incredible .... (if you know who small brown bike are and can sing like that then i'll do everything in my power to get you in )

I wish I had some audio to put up but we haven't recorded anything yet, hopefully we will do soon. Oh and just for laughs an older incarnation of the band is in the new Jetplane Landing video 'Brave Gravity' we play in a red and black painted room.

Jxx

some influences for ya: Smashing Pumpkins, Small Brown Bike, Aphex Twin, Seafood, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Q and Not U, Lamb of God, Mahumodo, Muse, Pavement, The Paper Chase, The Cranberries, Meanwhile Back In Communist Russia, Squarepusher, James Brown, The Pixies, Slayer, Refused, Thursday, Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, The Icarus Line, Bright Eyes, As Friends Rust, Dillinger Escape Plan, Rage Against The Machine, System Of A Down, Jarcrew, Onelinedrawing, Killswitch Engage, Frank Zappa, Ani DiFranco, Sleater-Kinney, Melt Bannana, Reuben, At The Drive-In, The Beautiful Mistake, Nick Drake, Nick Cave, The Dismemberment Plan, Sweep The Leg Johnny, Isis, Your Enemies Friends, Jimmy Eat World, many many more.... that'll do

Re: Singers please?

i dont sing, infact i only play guitar and keyboard but i do like small brown bike, so just wondering what youre called and got a website or anything? just incase ur good i wanna check u out.,. and ive prob seen u in the jetplane landing vid too. i like them alot

Re: Singers please?

Well we don't have a website as yet, but our drummers a bit of an internet wiz so there should be one fairly soon. Hopefully we'll get some audio up on there too within a couple of weeks. Right now were called Another Hollow Body, but only till someone comes up with something better. We do love the bike and we do the whole hamonious octave power chords thing a fair bit. But we just want anyone with a cool voice, I'm just a sucker for that gruff 'emocore' (god I hate that) vocal thingy!
