Saw them on Sunday. Think they are brilliant. Don't know why I think that though.

because they speak to the kids.

i saw them in guildford a few months back and thought they were great. i think i like them because they sound a lot like Ikara Colt.

yes you've "formed a band" so go and write a proper fucking song

still i quite liked it the first time i heard it, but then i quite like the sound of my farts sometimes so thats not saying much.

Er....how old are you? I don't remember Sid Vicious ever riding a skate board. Or Joe Strummer for that matter.
Listen, it is briliant precisely because anyone could do it, it is a glorious celebration of just how fucking brilliant it is to be in a band and... it has a soul goddamn it!
Skater punk is big shorts - punk is empowerment for ordinary kids.
To borrow from original punk fanzine Sniffin Glue: "This is a chord. This is another chord. Now, go form a band."

yeh it is just horrible. sort of music makes you feel like youre having a joke played on you as well, oooh were making irony-laden points about bands coming out from nowhere blahblahblah...

and to Durutti, Sid Vicious isnt someone to emulate and if you think he is, youve got a problem. wooah hes a true punk, everyone is just a faker and cant be as punk as him...whatever.

i like that comment josh homme made after the split of QOTSA comparing nick oliveri to him, 'yeh do i think sid vicious was a badass? yes. but i also think he was a loser fuckup druggie who couldnt play his bass'. how right he is.

all this talk is irrelevant because none of you fools are on their new song and i (art brut willing) will be! oh yes. my band sang a thing for it its called 'top of the pops'. fortunately, i didnt speak to the band themselves, but did play a highly entertaining game of mario cart with my bassist in the longe of the studio. they had obviously set it up in anticipation of my arrival. i won

i will never forget that day.

wandering aimlessly around old street for 2 hours, then finally finding the studio.

screaming "prozak! top of the pops!" for 1 minute, then going home.

We need more bands with a sense of humour. It's not the greatest song (far from the worst though), but it makes a nice change from over earnest "poetic" crap.
