John Squire Exhibition at the ICA

The ICA in London will host the first ever exhibition by former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire from 14th February until the 16th February 2004. Yes, that's a whole three days. They must be good then, eh?

Squire's paintings have adorned his solo work and releases by his former group, as well as other releases including the 'Help' charity album. The pieces, influenced by abstract expressionists, swiftly became synonymous with the Manchester/'Madchester' scene.

Entry to the exhibition is free to ICA members, and is open from noon until 7.30pm. The exhibition coincides nicely with the release of Squire's new album, 'Marshall's House', due on February 9th through North Country Records. Squire will perform at the ICA on the day of release (this show was originally announced for the Islington Academy - tickets already purchased will be valid).

A single, 'Room In Brooklyn', will be released on February 2nd. Whoop-de-f*cking-whoop.
