Alan White was always far better han the band he played in, and I'm sure won't ever be stuck for work. (or was it Steve White... can't ever get it right who plays with Weller and who plays(played) with Oasis)

The other two are quite considerably better than the band they play with. Now though, they'll sadly be truly just a band of session musos.

I love Oasis but they really need to give up now and do other projects.

I'm not bothered he's left...Alan White is over-rated as a drummer. Tony McCarroll wasn't technically as good but he was the best drummer for Oasis.

I'm sure he is a nice bloke, but McCarroll is one of the worst drummers ever.

This news, however, is unlikely to make much difference to how they sound. I'm sure Noel played the drums anyway.

I dont blame the guy as much as i like Noel and Liam the guys are fucked, the drummer most likely got pissed off with the fact that the rest of the band were doing nothing, bit like me and my band where im waiting to don stuff and no one else does shit, dyer know what i mean ?

We all know that Alan really made his mark on almost every song he played with Oasis and it will be very difficult to fill his shoes, I likely sounds that there was a mutual agreement somewhere in there as there`s many rumours such as Noel drumming on the early demos for the new album, (Which I doubt is the reason), Alan suffering from tendonitus, and so fourth. what ever the future is for Oasis I`m sure they understand now that they have to take a new direction, hence why their working with Death in Vegus. And as for Whitey and sure he won`t have much trouble getting work, (I mean look at his reputation in one of Brit Pops biggest bands ever) and I`m sure he`s not short of a bog or two.

Allan White always seemed a little frightned to me, and though he was a good drummer and played within the paramets of what Noel wanted, the fact that he joined the band when they were already huge made him seem a little tentative as a person, someone who did not want to make waves. I love Oasis, but between Liam and Noel, it does not seem like a pleasant band to be in. It is notable that Guigs had a nervouse breakdown while on tour. Yes, it is likely this was due to coke. But the guy who replaces him promptly had a crispy, too. Then Bonehead and Guigs both leave. The fact of the matter is that these guys - Noel and Liam and the rest - were an abusive bunch. They were MEAN! So Allan comes in and keeps his head low. Which is fine, Liam takes care of making things interesting, we don't need a flambouyant drummer, really, but still, you could feel him keeping an eye on the bank, which was slowly filling up with whatever deal he signed on for. It must have gotten full enough. I do hope they get another drummer, though, someone who doesn't give a shit. As for Allan, the part I must liked of his were the rolls on "stay young."

i think its about time that people laid off TONY MCCARROLL.Its quite evident on watching TMACS performance on 'live by the sea' that he really did make a big dif to the bands sound with his unorthodox style.Has anyone noticed the rigid shit bass playing by GUIGS on this video?Its a little known fact he never actually recorded on defmay and maj of wtsmglory!
