Deadsy thre a great band but none of the UK sites ive ever been on have really heard of them but i think there quite popular in america i not really sure none of my friends have really heard them that much though
mayday warning - ace bunch of guys.
Autopilot - so up and coming they've only got about 7 songs.
Atikus - Big riffs, little kids
One Above Nothing - hardcore covers band
I love And Much More. They're so cool and underground that they haven't even formed yet - my brother's learning the drums before releasing any records.
Not too sure what they're up to at the mo, they seem to be really lazy when it comes to updating their site. I did hear an interview in which they said they were thinking of recording an instumental album though, which judging from past instumental tracks should be great.
Bah, no one here in Welland knows of anything I listen to, although they aren't particularly underground or anything. Nekromantix, Mad Sin, Demented Are Go, Horrorpops, Guana Batz, etc.
yeah, the 'Meadow are great live too, saw them supporting SFA...not sure what the punters thought, they seemed to be rocking back and forth slightly...
have to agree raar are really good, so are a glasgow band called terra diablo. they are heavy and tunefull at the same time. listening to the walkmen at the moment. undecided
At the risk of sounding like a repetetive twat, I urge everyone to find some Mexican Pets stuff. They split in '97 (3 years before I'd ever even heard of them), but if you find either 'Humbucker' or 'Voice Of Trucker Youth' going cheap, then don't hesitate to snap 'em up....
Other than that, how's about Bear vs Shark or The Rocket Summer? Oh, and does anyone else think that The Killers sound like a souped up version of The Junket?
i just heard this band called 'the white stripes'. they're like a two-piece bluesy/garage rock kind of thing. i reckon they're going to be really popular once people find out about them.
the rocket summer? are you serious? i saw them (well...him and his drummer) supporting the ataris in glasgow and he was a complete nutcase. and the music was shite too.
everyone should listen to coheed and cambria when they were called shabutie... if you like the mars volta or at the drive-in.

Trust me with The Rocket Summer. He's mard as fuck, but he's got some quality slow-burning tunes on the album. I s'pose he's like a more embarrassing Ben Kweller, but I like him :)
Melbourne bands:
San (voice like Jeff Buckley)
The Forgotten Ways (must have loved their G'n'f'n'R)
Bendigo Bands:
Sender (were Zenyth...look out for Bodan in the Thunderstruck soundtrack's Aussie all-star band)
Clumpy Bogg (who's on the six now that Pete's gone to Sydney)
International Band:
Love & Rockets (Daniel Ash's Bauhaus rehash - not on the bandlist!)
*looks up* ive heard of the Horrorpops..but only one song (julia...tis v. groovy. much bouncing) i dont know about America but in the UK no-one has heard of Coheed and Cambria (travesty!) or even The Zutons....who are a UK band. yeesh.
Oh, and My Awesome Compilation, Intentions Of An Asteroid, The Robocop Kraus...and a band called Pornshot who were on at In The City a couple of years ago - Norwegian, I think. I've not heard a sausage from 'em since, but they were brilliant and the singer was wearing a nurse's uniform. Crumbs!
I'm not too sure if many people know this band, I don't think many do. Anyway, it's Jacobs Stories. They're pretty good. And then there's a lot of the ones you've all mentioned already. :)
In Flames. Well actually they probably are well known but NOT WHERE I COME FROM!!! I have yet to come across anyone on this site who mention In Flames either in their profile or posts. ~shrugs~
Ya i must admit I heard their new song on Scuzz of all places and I was very disappointed. Their new stuff isn't half as good but I would under no circumstances compare Whoracle or Reroute to Remain to Linkin Park. I can see your point with Soundtrack to your Escape - though Linkin Park is a bit harsh don't you think?!
i saw them at ATP and although my chums didnt want to watch them and we went to play crazy golf instead - i tried to catch a bit of them - they were great - i also liked how they reviewd them in the little thing that you get...
if only i wasnt such a lamb i would have stayed for the whole set...
p.s my favourite band what no one has heard of is -
THE WORKHOUSE i saw them again yesterday theyre soo good - better than explosions in the sky...
(ok yes matt i know i saw them with you two years ago - i know you know who they are...)
Yeah, that set at ATP was awesome. In my opinion not enough guitarists these days a) sing into their pickups and b) climb to the top of the PA stacks. Yanni be praised.
sucio perro!! all the biffy fans may have seen them supporting clyro on loads of dates around the uk. they're friends wit biffy an one of my mates even prefers them so you would be adviced to vsit their website where you can download loadsa stuff for free.
