This band were the absolute fucking nuts. Vapour Trail? Leave Them All Behind? Birdman? I rest my case. Oh, and the only reason the last Oasis album was any good was because Andy Bell helped to write it.
I thank you.

Original Nowhere poster up for grabs

At the risk of turning this site into Freecycle, I didn't want to throw this huge Nowhere poster away and thought someone might like it:

Oh how I wanted those hairstyles.
Free to anyone that wants it and can be collected from Holloway, N London.

Yes, yes and yes.

All great songs you mentioned and Taste, Dreams Burn Down, Twisterella, Drive Blind Unfamiliar.

I'm not big on reformations but if they reformed, I'd be at the gig in a shot.

I like Ride

Favourite being "Leave them all Behind"

My cousin loves them so much he named his band after a song they did - Driveblind

**not a JAG, ta****

Check out "waves"

It's an amazing document from BBC 1 (which are usually lame) that shows them as they probably sounded live- awesome.

no "vapour trail", sadly but a cool cover of Dead Can Dance "severance"

all ride lovers must get it

Got

to hear that Dead Can Dance cover....

do they use the hurdy gurdy too?

i don't really like ride, but that's my favourite dead can dance song. interesting!

i hate ride.

i think? prove me wrong please.

you love ride.

At least, you will soon.

The

best shoegaze band, IMO.

Nowhere and Going Blank again are CLASSIC.

Here And Now

"for the win"

I somehow managed to never hear Ride

I love Cocteau Twins and MBV and a few other bands from the very general era, how do they compare?

sonically

also, to a lesser extent their fashions are similar

I got loads of Ride EPs

probably own more records buy that band than any other, some great B sides too. Mark Gardeners solo stuff is pretty good, saw him at the Luminaire in Kilburn last year, played a few Rides tunes on his 12 string :)

^^this

Loved Ride way back when, from the First EP to Going Blank, but only recently heard 'Grasshopper' which was a b-side from that late era. Absolutely phenomenal post rock instrumental with maximum riffage. About 10 mins long too.

Awesome band

Leave them all behind shall be played at my funeral!
