  • The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

Not exactly rarities - they're all B-sides from the singles on the last album. Still, anyone who thought the last album was too 'pop' (and I stick my tongue out in your general direction) will go barmy for this, because the B-sides rocked like... something that rocks a great deal.

Oh, and it probably won't please people who think that a band is no longer relevant if it has been going longer than 5 years, but Therapy? support on the above tour. It's going to be one of the best nights of my life...

Re: The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

Therapy SUPPORT The Wildhearts? Oh God No. I thought nobody cared about The Wildhearts.

Re: The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

Ah, come on. I love Therapy? and I wish they still played to big crowds, but I've seen both recently and The Wildhearts are pulling a lot more punters in. Go to one of the gigs with an open mind and let us know what you think.

Re: The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

As well as Therapy?, they will be accompanied by The Glitterati on (I think) all dates. That officially makes it the best lineup ever, in my opinion. Two of my long-term favourite bands, and one of the best new live bands I've seen recently.

    The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

The Wildhearts are the epitomy of rock n'roll. They should have got the same acclaim OASIS got. In fact I reckon Ginger and Noel are similar songwriters in that they are both 'theiving magpies'. Trouble is Ginger is often his own worst enemy. Will probably be there at the Liverpool gig.....again!

But I thought '....must be destroyed' was weak. Bit dissapointed in that. Why was 'Stormy in the north.... 'omitted from it then?

Re: The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

They should have got the same acclaim Oasis had - only thing is, Oasis shouldn't have. They released one extremely good rock 'n' roll album in 1994 and have bored for Britain ever since.

The Wildhearts are their own worst enemies though, by their own admissions. But at the moment it's going pretty well... fingers crossed.

    The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

I'm so please they're doing so well lately! Their b-sides are always fantastic, so the album should rock, and Therapy? are a brilliant live band, so the tour will too. Yay, whee!

Re: The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

I thought it was the Backyard Babies on support duties, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at Therapy?, even if they were a bit bobbins last time round...

Re: The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

Backyard Babies pulled out for some reason.

    The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

At last, the album that should have been released instead of the pish that was ...must be destroyed. I've followed this bad since Mondo Akimbo came out all those decades ago. Like the Queens of the stone age they are not exactly the most consistant live band but that last album should never have been released. This is the real wildhearts, Thank god. Backyard babies to support? oh whoppee. Now if it was Hanoi Rocks.

    The Wildhearts To Release Rarities

Well I'm fucking glad I spent all that money buying all the singles when they came out then.....

How about they stop fucking about and release a live album/videography double DVD?
