I saw them last night and they were great. A very good concert...they played lots of their old hits to an excited crowd of loyal fans. They loved it. I am embarrased to say that I only know one of their songs. I wish I could have sung along with everyone else. :(
If was to buy one of their albums, which one would I get. I am thinking Seamonsters. Is this a good idea?
p.s. Sorry about the boring 'which one should I get first?' thread. My boyfriend won't help me out because he is a massive fan and bitter that I went last night, so doesn't think I deserve to know.

Bizarro & Seamonsters
Both equally good places to start. Bizarro has the hits (Brassneck and Kennedy), but Seamonsters is where I started and it's a great album. Pretty and noisy in equal parts.
They played 3 songs from each of those albums last night. Great gig, wasn't it? Loved Gedge's all-white suit which inspired the 'cricketer' response to his 'who am i?' remark.
I'd second
Seamonsters and Bizarro but I'd also recommend George Best as well, especially the reissue with all the extra tracks.
Those bare-bones Peel session discs in Fopp are a bit hit and miss mind...
I miss
I miss Cinerama. The last few times i saw them though more and more wedding present songs were creeping back in. I think he just likes to rock out a bit

They played a Cinerama song last night and it was really good, much better than any Cinerama song I've heard before. No idea which one it was though.

But last night, as noted, they only played three songs from it, the last song they played is the last song on seamonsters though, and one of my favourites of theirs.. such a great album! Bizarro is kind of catchier perhaps? Controversially maybe the hit parade album would be a good intro, they released a single a month for a year and you can buy a double album with all 24 tracks on? They played quite alot of tracks off that last night.

It's all about...
..George Best. Best Weddoes album hands down, if just for 'My Favourite Dress'.. Their Radio Sessions are pretty much a waste of time, apart from their glorious version of 'I Found That Essence Rare'.
