While it seems the follow-up to last year’s ‘The Decline Of British Sea Power’ seems a little way off, they are set to embark on their biggest tour yet (dates here), culminating at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on April 29th. Yan also says that particular gig could be the last time the band decorate the stage with their famous foliage. :-O
Although some fans going to Glastonbury are already planning a “Camp Sea Power” (that’s an area in the campsite, not a gay tribute band), BSP aren’t, at time of writing, confirmed for the festival, but Yan says: “We’re doing the Isle of Wight festival, which will be good as I’ve never been there before. I hear they have some good wildlife there.”
On the BSP tourbus stereo recently: The Silver Jews, Buddy Holly, Lonnie Donegan, Julian Cope, Galaxy 500.

I loved every minute.
The foliage rumour is untrue, it was there as usual. As was the random soldier drummer as was the giant (9ft) bear at the end.
They played about 3/4 new songs and each one impressed.
A cracking gig all in all.
