I'm new to the igeneration and need a question answering.
I have an ipod. My dad has the same ipod. I've come home to visit the rents and I've downloaded some songs on my dad's comp that I want to put on my ipod.
I've imported the songs into his library. Why won't it let me put it on MY ipod which I've plugged in!!!???

if you persist
it will wipe everything else from your ipod and import only what is on your dads itunes.
an IPOD is a one computer system. Meaning, 1 copy of itunes, one ipod.
Really?
That's really shit.
not really
it's meant to help prevent piracy*
*not that it succeeds*
yes
you got ifucked.
Lol I-Pods are so shit.
..
Thats just not at all true.
All you have to do is turn the AUTO SYNC option off your iopod (in itunes). Then you pick and choose which songs you want to transfer to the HD from any comp you stick it into...
really?! wow! that's great!
that isn't true
it will still transfer all the 'checked' items won't it?
..
no. If the ipod isn't set to sync you are in complete control.
But if you want to avoid itunes completely go to download.com and get ipodagent. It's a nice light easy programme that has the added bonus of allowing you to steal' anything that is on your network (ie. office building/uni network etc) - the songs that appear in the itunes shared folder..
although..
I'm basing this on the version of itunes that I run (I haven't let it update for the past 2 1/2 to 3 years)
Where's
Auto sync?
sorry for being lame.
Woohoo.
I did it!
