Berlin-based electro/cabaret performer Planningtorock (aka Janine Rostron, pictured) is playing a one-off free show at Tate Modern this Saturday evening.

Planningtorock recently took her dark, baroque, operatic electro-pop out on the road as part of the Kevin Blechdom world tour, and has recently released her debut album, Have It All on Chicks On Speed Records.

The performance will take place on the Turbine Hall Bridge at 10pm, and is part of a day-long programme of events organised by the temporarycontemporary gallery, starting at 1pm, and including performances, workshops and film screenings by Guerrilla Girls and Laurie Simmons amongst others.

i read about her in Plan B

London-centric rubbishness :(

I wrote about her in Plan B :D

And I am SO there.

the Tate Modern in St IVes

is very 'dinky' if that's of relevance to anything happening anywhere ever.

Sounds like a Southbank Show on location thang - busy sadly!

oooh get you

i'm actually seriously considering the logistics of coming down for this...

ooh...

I want to go to this.

..

the sound may well be shit, were'nt built for music that place.

defo

definiately going to this. Saw Planningtorock at the Spitz with Kevin Blechholm and she was fantastic and she should be great again. Wanna see Guerilla Girls and Laurie Simmons film too.

Do they ever

do gigs in the main turbine hall?
