Little more than a year after their 'last ever tour' and split, Pitchshifter have announced plans to release a live DVD and a series of tour dates.

The ‘P.S.I.entology’ DVD, set for release in October, features thirteen tracks recorded live in the bands home town of Nottingham and will be released on Pitchshifter's own label, PSI Records Ltd.

Vocalist J.S. Clayden explains the bands decision to reform for another tour: “Originally we were just going to have a DVD ‘play-back’ party in the band’s home town of Nottingham. That quickly turned into a one-off DVD release party show, which snow-balled into a short run of DVD release party shows with us playing live!". He promises fans: "we’ll have the DVD with us so you can meet the band and get it signed."

October

6th – Portsmouth Pyramids
7th – Cambridge Junction
8th – London Astoria
9th – Nottingham Rock City
10th – Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall
11th - Manchester Academy 2

Sikth will support on all of these dates with Minus popping up occasionally. Especially in Manchester.

and i thought i was at their last ever gig
altho they did say indefinite hiatus rather than breakin up what happened to doheny?

In short "How can we maximise the amount of money we can make out of this?", "oh I know lets do gigs and have the DVD with us then people will have more incentive to buy it"

i couldn't attend their final gig first time round, but thankfully i will be able to get to pompey for this farewell tour. who knows i might even be able to catch their next farewell tour next year at this rate. ace!

i cant wait for the tour. i had a chance to see em like 4 times and each time something always came up, i was gutted. although tomorrow im getting the eye tattooed on my wrists which im looking forward to altho it is goin to kill.anyone out there goin to the london show?
