What is everyone's favourite cover art on either a single or lp.

Mine has to be in no particular order:
All of the Pete Fowler stuff for Super Furry Animals
Radiohead - Ok Computer (Its just seems to match the mood of the record)
The Distillers - Coral Fang
Peaches - Fatherfucker
DM & Jemini - Ghetto Pop Life

Re: Favourite Cover art

how has nobody mentioned sgt. peppers yet? scandalous.

also, badly drawn boy - hour of bewilderbeast

actually anything on twisted nerve is always stylish.

Re: Favourite Cover art

MBV's "Loveless". An incredible image, beautifully captured, that sums up the record perfectly.

I'll happily second mentions for "Unknown Pleasures", "Chutes Too Narrow" and all the Furries' stuff, as well.

Re: Favourite Cover art

Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters

I heard that it's Buck Rogers' gun. Don't know whether it's true. Nice piece but.

Re: Favourite Cover art

Caravan - In The Land of Grey and Pink

N.

Re: Favourite Cover art

Smashing Pumpkins' "Machina", 'cos it's a fantastic piece of artwork in its own right, but coupled with the record itself and the themes running through it, it's even more amazing. Apparently there's all sorts of meanings and lyrical connections behind the different parts of the cover. Got a huuuuge poster of it on my wall... :-)

Re: Favourite Cover art

Nirvana- Nevermind, anybody? Iconic, ironic and sardonic.

Re: Favourite Cover art

I've seen this thread before, but I'll repeat myself :P
I love the cover for The Nerve Agents - The Butterfly Collection. It's really sad looking.

Re: Favourite Cover art

Most Pearl Jam records have great covers, particularly the original fold-out No Code, and even more particularly, the whole of the Vitalogy 'package'.

I'm also gonna say 'Pump' and 'Get A Grip' by Aerosmith, 'Troublegum' by Therapy? and all UNKLE stuff with Futura's shit on it. (Not literally). Ooh, and NIN's 'The Fragile'.
