Right/Wrong
You're right. He's wrong.
I think it's terrible.
He mostly sounds like really dull R'n'B with added swearing and 'edgy' lyrics. Wank.
It sounds
bad.
Total crap.
so why aere people saying
"oh he's so street man". doesnt make the music good tho, does it?
I like him
So ner-ner.
Do you like Eat My Goal?
The Collapsed Lung
song? Erm...not really. Their earlier stuff was better, Down With The Plaid Fad etc.
Why?!
Just curious...
who doesn't?!
I like Plan B.
Saw him at the Windmill a while back and couldn't take my eyes off him. Great flow and witty, bitter lyrics. Pay no attention to whether he's "street" or not, I don't care.
He sounded quite interesting judging on articles/interviews etc.
but then I finally heard him play a song (Jools Holland a few weeks back) and found it a bit "meh".
As Joey points out, it's completely irrelavent whether or not he's 'street'. But he doesn't that good.
I can see how he would be a bit 'meh'
and even after seeing him live and thinking he was good, some of the breathless articles about how great he is were a bit over the top. when someone's built up to that extent it's no surprise that people are sometimes disappointed.
I think the hype was certainly a factor
I'm sure I'll listen again sometime and maybe that'll win me over.
I've seen him on tv
I don't like it.
i liked the one that used the chorus from No Good
i liked it a lot and the video was great.
the new single is a bit shit. he does all these rnb diva wooeeooooos like lemarr or something. and it takes its chorus from hall and oates.
sampling and referencing is cool, but when all your singles just take their choruses from better tunes, you are will smith.
is that "Mama"?
haven't heard that. John Kennedy played a tune that sampled "Pyramid Song", I thought that was ace.
He makes me laugh out loud
or 'LOL' as you kids say. If I were to see him live I'd ask him to sing that song he did with Shaggy about m'Julie.
This is exactly the kind of bollocks that led me to ignore previous Plan B threads
