Bjork's new album, 'Medulla', is released next month. Although we're yet to hear it, the collaborations would imply that it's a far cry from last outing, the delicate and introspective (and not a little naughty) 'Vespertine'.

Mr Bungle/Tomahawk/Faith No More (etc) nutter Mike Patton will make an appearance, as will Robert Wyatt. Among the stranger guests are classical vocalist Gregory Purnhagen and beat boxers Rahzel (of The Roots), Shlomo and Dokaka.

The swan-wearing pixie's new record will also feature choirs from both London and Iceland. No word yet on whether or not she's sampled any photographer beatings.

Bjork's great, and it's cool that she tries out all this different stuff, even if some of it doesn't quite work. The stuff that does work is fantastic and anything that pushes music forward a bit is a good thing in my opinion.

i've heard one track from it, skittering drums and vocal coos and samples, hard to describe really- it's lovely. bring it on.

I can't wait for this. You can ALWAYS rely on Björk to come up with something original. Gawd, I adore her. Only bad news is shes not planning a tour for this album. Boohoo x

The last 4 were magnificent; )
but yeah, im really sad that shes not gonna tour it : (

i really wanted to go and check them pair out at reading, but when the time came i was pissed and i didnt want experimental vocal stuff, i wanted fist in the air punk rock. love to know what theyre up to though, please enlighten!
