Saloon are a five piece art-pop band from Reading who use the traditional sound of guitars, strings and vocals as a backdrop for Moogs, Stylophones, theremins and so on. Debut album, (This Is) What We Call Progress was produced with the help of Brooklyn-based producer and Mahogany main man, Andrew Prinz. Saloon have been summoned for sessions by the mighty John Peel and curated their own three-day music festival, Happy Robots, with great success.

The self-produced second album If We Meet in the Future, was released on Track & Field in 2003.
