According to their Myspace, "The Violent Years dwell in deepest southern Norway amidst the sea, woods and bible belt. Their songs are made of an anxious bitter sweet unrequited Love inspired by a contrasting backdrop of natural beauty and the highest rate of depression in the country."
The Violent Years will release their first mini-album in April 2008.
