Thirteen:13 formed in 1999 from the ashes of Catch and Kula Shaker and the were snapped up by Polydor at the end of that year. The following months saw the band lock themselves away in a studio, be listed in Melody Maker's "10 to watch out for", play at Glasto and go on tour with My Vitriol.
During 2001, the band has supported JJ72 on tour and released a number of singles. After their fourth single 'Try' failed to make an impact on the charts, Thirteen:13 disbanded, with guitarist Ben Etchells signing on with The Candys and singer Wayne forming The Honeymoon.
