Hailing from the banks of the steel river, Elba have developed a unique club-friendly urban take on modern pop.

Taking their musical education from the likes of Sandy Shaw, David Arnold and DJ Shadow, the sound consists of rich cinematic soundscapes riding on phat beats, topped with classically sexy female vocals, which have been likened to Grace Jones.

Most recently Elba supported Nerina Pallot at The Cornerhouse on her recent UK tour.

Elba consists of five incredibly ambitious individuals, each with their own musical opinions:-

Lucy – Ultrasmooth Chocolate coated vocals, cello
Neil – Supernatural guitars & analogue synth
Jono – Acoustic guitar & Funked up Flute
Phil – Deep Dub Bass
Chris - Drums
