Norman Cook departed the '80s indie poppers The Housemartins in 1988, embarking on a shortlived solo career. Forming Beats International in 1990, he scored his first taste of real solo success with the chart-topping hit 'Dub Be Good To Me'. After a poorly received second set, the band was over and Cook created the simultaneous projects Freak Power and Pizzaman, before eventually deciding on the pseudonymous Fatboy Slim monicker. His second 'Slim album You've Come A Long Way, Baby became a huge transatlantic best-seller.
