"Thomson are a four piece, power pop group based around the songwriting, singing and guitar playing talents of West Country brothers, Ian and David Thomson. They grew up in the small Somerset town of Nailsea and everything progressed quite normally until their first exposure to the music that has since soundtracked their lives.

What it is that can make a teenage boy fall in love with music recorded before he was even born is one of the enduring mysteries of rock'n'roll; but whatever it may be, when the young brothers first heard the combined voices and guitars of Neil Young and Stephen Stills they were bewitched. Since that day they've known exactly what kind of music they wanted to make. They learned to play together and they learned to sing together.

What makes Thomson special is their simple joy in the business of making music. They aren't seeking to break down musical barriers, all they want is to give life to the music they hear inside their heads. At first you may think they sound like Big Star or Crazy Horse, but if you listen harder you'll realise that most of all they sound like Thomson".
