Biography:
Emma Forman is a young singer songwriter currently based in Aberdeen. She has performed both as a solo artist and in various bands. In November 1998 Emma formed a band called Bad Karma. The band gigged regularly in the city until their final gig in the summer of 2001. After the demise of Bad Karma Emma began to concentrate on writing solo material and performing with other bands. She was a guitarist in an all female covers band called Koshkas and the bassist in Piston Broke for a while. She currently plays guitar with The Awkwards.
Chris Thomson from The Bathers recorded her acoustic demos and she has gone on to support acts like James Grant and The Wrigly Sisters at the lemon Tree. Also, one of her songs "Too Late" was covered by singer/songwriter Barry Applin then aired on a community radio show. The same song but Emma's own acoustic version of it will also feature in a short film called "Tinsel town" which is to be entered into BBC Talent and various Festivals. Emma performed her first solo acoustic gig on the 9th December 2001 in the loft and has gigged regularly since. Future plans include recording some new material, more solo gigs and she hopes to be gigging with her new band “The Deviants” soon.
