Oleander
Thomas Flowers - vocals, guitar
Ric Ivanisevich - guitar
Doug Eldridge - bass guitar
Scott Devours - drums
The Oleander story began a decade ago when Flowers and Eldridge first started playing together in Sacramento. Two years later Ivanisevich was on board. With the addition of original drummer Fred Nelson Jr. they decided to name themselves Oleander after a poisonous wildflower indigenous to Northern California.
The independently released 1997 debut, 'Shrinking The Blob' led to a deal with Republic/Universal and in 1999 the band achieved their breakthrough with the 'February Son' album. It went gold in the states and the single 'Why I'm Here' became a #1 rock hit. 'Unwind' followed in 2001, yielding two major singles in 'Are You There?' and 'Halo'.
