Black Box Recorder are...
- Sarah Nixey - vocals
- Luke Haines - guitar, keyboards
- John Moore - guitar
Black Box Recorder were formed in 1998, when Luke Haines of
The Auteurs recruited John Moore and Sarah Nixey, the former backing vocalist of
Balloon. The group released the album
England Made Me in 1998, before finding chart success two years later with the cheeky hit single
'The Facts Of Life' and the accompanying album of the same name. The band's trouble with their record label Nude Records halted their progress and their next album,
Passionia, did not see release until 2003. The interim period saw the release of
The Worst Of (2001), an album rarities/unreleased material.
