Twisting their influences to exhilarating effect, Ashborn have created a sound of their own, and it is huge. They invite you to believe in them, to reject quick-fix disposable bands and get passionate about music once again. While other acts now seem more interested in their hairstyles than creating important, generation-inspiring songs, Ashborn emerge from the smog to take on the establishment. Their influences include Russian Folk, Bootsy, REM, Jeff Buckley and The Smiths. Claire Sturgess and Shaun Keaveny have already featured 'Rasina' on their XFM shows, and their tracks have also been picking up plays on The Storm and BURN FM. Originally formed in Derby but now based in the South East, Ashborn are intent on stamping their mark on the British music scene.
