DIY-Fi qwerky pop trio from the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. Alto45 came into existence on bored holiday days when we'd get together and play with tape players, fx pedals, cheap keyboards, a harmonium along with the more conventional guitar, bass and drums. We're probably influenced by the likes of The Delgados, Graham Coxon, Elastica, Eels, Daniel Johnston, Sonic Youth and Belle & Sebastian. We started recording our efforts and eventually put them out on our own Happy Capitalist Label. A single on Sickroom GC connected us into the Norwich scene and we haven't looked back from there. Live wise we've distilled our eclecticism down to vocals, guitar, bass, drums, melodica, rappa pad, omnichord, drum machine, glockenspiel and stylophone (not all at the same time you understand).
