Columbus & Crusoe are Jack Barraclough, Chris Belson, Darren Smith and James Collins. What used to be known as 'Pete's Love' a project of Chris's, which very slowly started and very quickly finished, grew in numbers and transformed into the strange and subtle band, Columbus & Crusoe.

Many past attempts had failed miserably, attempts including, 'Idiot Box' and 'The Band From Uncle'. Chris and Jack go to Wrenn School sixth form in the pretty insignificant town of Wellingborough (despite it being the birth place of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and we go to the same school that Sir David Frost went to), while Darren attends Bedford College. Jack plays the piano, Chris is the lyricist, guitar player and harmonica, and darren plays the bass guitar, james plays the drums.

We're just a small indie pop band wanting to let our songs into the world like ships to the sea. We're hoping we don't sink, or float into any suspicious looking fog. That's never been good before, so i don't think it will be good this time either.
