As anyone with half a brain can tell you, the future will not be a pleasant place. But as the detritus of modern life come creeping up to our chins and we prepare to drown forever in a sea of reality TV stars, Ibiza DJs and redundant technologies, there's still time to smile, just like Mike TV.

Mike TV is the wry front man whose mind is a post-modern jungle of 80's trash, Triffids, and "rubbish robots". Add to this a classically trained violinist (on keyboards), a punk bass player and a retro synth obsessive, and the result can only be Beats For Beginners, who signed to Faith & Hope Records in 2003.
