Tybalt reside in the depths of the 'black country' (West Midlands, England, UK), and comprise of: (from left on photo) Richie Bates (Bass guitar), Nick Stanley (Drums) & Duncan Buchanan (Guitar/vox/synth).

In the 18 months of playing together tybalt have quite a few notches on the bedpost, including receiving recognition from the almighty Radio 1, playing in Texas, recording their E.P. (A Subtle Change In Emphasis) scheduled for release in early 2004, setting up their own record label (Purpose Built Records) and supporting the likes of 'Pretty Girls Make Graves' and the mighty 'Jetplane Landing'!!!

Their sound has grown over time and matured to what has been most recently described as "monumentally original". Tybalt try hard to make their sound as unique as possible and bost influences including: Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, Shellac, Mogwai, Fugazi, Muse, Chilli's, Smashing Pumpkins, At The Drive In, Dredg, Manics, Sparta, ....Trail of the dead to mention but a few!

Tybalt's idea of music is to Invigorate, excite and confuse your senses by a method of: Hard percussive elements twinned with the sanctity of sonic melody.
