Brief Band History:
Their
landmark gig was when the band were banned on arrival at The Bodegas Bar in
Barnsley because the Management took offence to the advertising of 'FREE SEX
AND DRUGS' - another Barnsley Bar - the Tut & Shive agreed to let KP play
that night and this proved to be a brilliant gig.
On March 15th 2001, King Palooka played for the first time in almost 10 months with their brand new
line up. They played an incredible set at The Fealty & Firkin' in Barnsley,
and sold 'a good few' copies of the debut CD 'The Wellington Street EP' which is available now. World domination here we come!
Influences:
The Pixies, P.J.Harvey, The Smiths, The Clash, Joy Division,
The Jam & Robert Johnson.
